La réponse de François d'Assise

Un jour, alors qu'il était vieux, on a demandé à François d'Assise comment il avait pu faire autant pour Dieu. Sa réponse a été la suivante : "C'est sans doute pour cette raison que Dieu a béni mes efforts. Dieu a regardé du ciel et a dit : "Où puis-je trouver l'homme le plus faible, le plus humble, le plus pauvre de la terre ? Puis Il m'a vu et Il a dit : "Je l'ai trouvé. Je travaillerai à travers lui, car cela ne l'amènera certainement pas à penser à lui-même et à prendre ma gloire pour sienne. Il saura que je l'ai toujours utilisé, juste parce qu'il était humble et ne se considérait pas important". "

Dieu a choisi ce qui est fou dans le monde pour faire honte aux sages, Dieu a choisi ce qui est faible dans le monde pour faire honte aux forts, Dieu a choisi ce qui est bas et méprisé dans le monde pour réduire à néant les choses qui sont, afin qu'aucun être humain ne puisse se vanter en présence de Dieu.

Père, si tu veux, tu peux même te servir de moi. Fais en sorte que le monde me considère comme un idiot, si les gens me considèrent comme tel.

Then He saw me and He said: 'I found him. I will work through him, for surely it will not cause him to think anything of himself and take My glory to be his. He will know that I always used him, just because he was lowly and did not think himself important.' "

. . . God chose what is foolish in the world to shame the wise, God chose what is weak in the world to shame the strong, God chose what is low and despised in the world to bring to nothing things that are, so that no human being might boast in the presence of God.

Father, if You will, You can use even me. Make me willing to be looked upon as foolish by the world, if people should consider me so.
